UK Legislation Covered: The Care Certificate (developed by Skills for Care, Skills for Health, and Health Education England - England only)
Irish Equivalent: In Ireland, care workers in residential settings must comply with the Health Act 2007 and HIQA (Health Information and Quality Authority) National Standards for Residential Care Settings. HIQA inspects and regulates designated centres under the Health Act 2007 (Care and Welfare of Residents in Designated Centres for Older People) Regulations 2013 (S.I. No. 415 of 2013). There is no direct Irish equivalent of the Care Certificate.
