On-Site First Aid Training for Irish Workplaces
Phoenix STS delivers first aid training at your premises anywhere in Ireland. Our instructors bring the manikins, AED trainers and course materials to you, so your team trains together in its own workplace. Courses run from three-hour CPR sessions to the three-day PHECC First Aid Response programme.
All training is CPD-accredited, and Phoenix STS is a PHECC Recognised Institution for First Aid Response. Our HeartSaver CPR and AED courses are certified through the Irish Heart Foundation and the American Heart Association. Certificates are valid for two years.
The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 requires employers to protect the safety, health and welfare of their staff. In plain terms, that means being ready to help an employee who is injured or becomes suddenly unwell at work. Trained first aiders are a core part of that preparation.

On-site training takes place at your premises with one of our instructors. It is hands-on, with practical work on manikins and AED trainers. Online courses are self-paced eLearning modules with an end-of-course assessment. They suit awareness training and annual refreshers, while practical first aid skills are best learned in person.
Group sizes depend on the course. Our HeartSaver CPR and HeartSaver AED courses take a maximum of six learners per session. The PHECC First Aid Response course takes a maximum of eight. Small groups keep the training practical and give everyone time on the equipment.
Every participant receives a CPD-accredited certificate on completion. Learners on the PHECC First Aid Response course receive a joint PHECC and Phoenix STS digital certificate. HeartSaver CPR and AED certificates are issued under Irish Heart Foundation and American Heart Association standards. Certificates are valid for two years.
The PHECC First Aid Response course is the recognised workplace first aid standard in Ireland and replaced Occupational First Aid. It suits staff nominated as workplace first aiders. The shorter HeartSaver CPR, HeartSaver AED and Basic Life Support courses suit teams who need life-support skills without the full three-day programme.
