Who We Are
Phoenix STS is an Irish fire safety and health and safety consultancy based in Longford, operating nationwide. We provide fire risk assessments, fire safety management, health and safety consultancy, CPD-accredited training, and specialist evacuation equipment to organisations across every sector.
The company was established to fill a gap in the Irish market for consultancy that combines engineering-level technical knowledge with practical, hands-on delivery. Our team includes qualified fire engineers, safety consultants, and specialist trainers who between them hold qualifications from SETU, UCD, and the Institution of Fire Engineers.
We work with over 500 clients, from single-site nursing homes to multi-national corporations. Healthcare is our largest sector, representing over 60% of our client base, and we support eight of Ireland's major multi-site nursing home groups. We also serve hospitals, disability services, corporate offices, schools, hotels, government bodies, and event venues across all 26 counties.
What We Do

Fire Safety Consultancy
Fire risk assessments (PAS 79-1:2020), fire engineering analysis, fire door inspections, IS 3218 fire alarm audits, IS 3217 emergency lighting compliance, HIQA fire safety support, and fire safety management retainers across all building types.
Health and Safety
Risk assessments, safety statements, safety management systems, manual handling risk assessments, workplace audits, and HIQA health and safety compliance. All work carried out under current Irish legislation including the SHWW Act 2005.
Training and CPD
CPD-accredited on-site training, public scheduled courses, and over 160 online eLearning courses. Fire safety, manual handling, first aid, evacuation equipment, fire door inspection, and safety management programmes delivered by qualified instructors.
Equipment Distribution
Sole licensed Irish distributor for SKI evacuation products (Hospital Aids UK). Authorised distributor for Exit Master evacuation chairs, Fireco door holders, Zoll AEDs, Ruth Lee training manikins, Promove patient handling, TagEvac, SignShapes, and Tetcon.
Engineering-Led Fire Safety
Phoenix STS brings degree-level fire engineering expertise to every consultancy engagement. Our team holds qualifications including BEng Fire Engineering, Higher Diploma in Safety Health and Welfare at Work, and membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers. This means our fire risk assessments, fire strategies, and compliance recommendations are grounded in engineering principles, not just checkbox compliance. We hold dual ISO certification (ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety), PHECC registration as a training institution, and CPD accreditation through the CPD Standards Office.
