Sweep evacuation is a systematic method where designated fire wardens physically check every room and area within their assigned zone to ensure all occupants have evacuated. Unlike roll calls, which rely on knowing who should be present (impossible in hybrid workplaces), sweep evacuation focuses on clearing zones. It is faster, more reliable, and provides instant visual confirmation of building status.

Each evacuation zone has a tag station with a uniquely colour-coded tag. During an evacuation, fire wardens sweep their zone, escort occupants out, and remove the tag. Tags are brought to the Emergency Master Control Board (EMCoB) at the assembly point. The board instantly shows which zones are confirmed clear (tag present) and which are not (tag missing). Fire services can immediately identify areas requiring search on arrival.
