Course Overview

The Heartsaver CPR Course equips the lay rescuer with the skills necessary to respond to a victim of sudden cardiac arrest. This course is suitable for the general public and is appropriate for anyone who may not have any previous experience of performing CPR.

The course is video-based and recognised by the Irish Heart Foundation and the American Heart Association. The course teaches skills with the American Heart Association’s research-proven Practice-While-Watching technique, allowing instructors to observe learners, provide feedback, and guide them through each skill.

  • Identifying and treating a victim of sudden cardiac arrest by providing CPR

The Heartsaver CPR Course focuses on CPR skills and includes only an introduction to AEDs without hands-on AED practice. Does this course include AED training?
