This course aims to provide a gentle introduction to the expectations of the Early Years Foundation Stage and it can also act as a refresher for those wanting to update their knowledge. It will introduce you to some of the key documents and legislation that relate to Early Years providers, the process for registering with Ofsted and the various policies and procedures that need to be in place. It also covers learning and development requirements, how to observe and assess the progress of children in your care and the safeguarding and welfare requirements laid out in the EYFS Framework.

Our Early Years Foundation Stage Introductory training, commonly referred to as the EYFS is a framework that all Early Years providers must comply with. This includes people working in a childminder setting.
This training is appropriate for all delegates, whether you are new to the early years childcare environment or returning to work in this sector and wishing to refresh your knowledge of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage(EYFS).
This interactive training will provide you with an overview of the EYFS, introducing the characteristics of effective teaching and learning and the principles which support young children’s learning.
Delegates will explore the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage, understand the different characteristics of effective learning and development and reflect on how your actions and environment can impact children’s outcomes.
