By completing this course, you will be making your nursing home a safer environment. The course brings staff through the elements involved in a fire; the risks a fire poses in a care environment and emphasizes the importance of practical training.

Important Note: The Basic Fire Safety Nursing Home course is not intended as a substitute for face-to-face training and may only form part of a blended training program. The program is ideal for supporting a Fire Safety Manager to deliver induction training to new staff before they receive face-to-face instruction from a competent person.

Current legislation applies to all workplaces regardless of the number of employees and requires employers to provide adequate training in fire awareness for all members of staff.

Our online fire safety training courses are aimed at all employees in a nursing home to assist them in identifying and reducing the risk that fire poses in the centre.

This course covers the same content as the Basic Fire Safety Awareness course with additional content tailored specially for employees that work in nursing homes.
