This course lasts around 55 minutes and will provide attendees with an overview of the key principals of performance management and the tools to implement this in their organisation. Performance management is about joint engagement between the employer and employee to set realistic performance targets which are achievable and benefit both the staff member and the organisation. It recognises that employees can only enhance their performance in areas which they can control or contribute to and that employees can assist organisations to identify opportunities for growth and improved efficiencies. Through enhanced engagement, employers will become more familiar with their employee’s skills and ambitions and can support performance improvement by identifying opportunities for their employees to learn new skills and tools which will ultimately be of benefit both to themselves and to the organisation.
