It will take you through some of the simple science, the main laws that apply and introduce you to noise level limits. It also covers some of the specific health risks and how to avoid them by producing risk assessments, action plans and through the provision of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.

Workers who are at risk of noise exposure need to be able to protect themselves from hearing damage. It is essential that your worker’s noise exposure is kept to a minimum to prevent hearing damage. This Noise Awareness Course is designed to familiarise delegates with the risks posed by noise and understand how to keep noise emissions as low as they can.
This Noise Awareness Course covers everything you need to know about keeping yourself and others safe when working in conditions exposed to high noise levels. The course covers what noise is, how to measure it, appropriate safety equipment as well as legislation relating to noise in the workplace.
The course also touches on the signs and symptoms of temporary and permanent hearing loss, so delegates are aware of the consequences of noise exposure. Risk assessment skills will be discussed to reduce the chances of hearing damage.
This course is suitable for anyone who is at risk from noise including construction workers, road workers, demolition workers, manufacturing workers and agricultural workers. Attendees will leave with a better knowledge of noise and the risks it can have to people’s health.
